Masterclasses

No. The sessions run as Zoom webinars, which means cameras and mics are off for all attendees. There isn't even the option to turn them on, so there's no need to worry about this.

This protects students' privacy so they can focus on learning without any added pressure, and it means there’s less chance of technical issues. 

Students can still interact with me and ask questions via the chat. I read through these as we go and respond to as many as I can, without naming anyone.

Yes. All sessions are recorded and you'll have access to the recording for two years.

The recording is always included when you book a live session, so there's no risk in signing up even if you're not sure you can make it on the day. Join live, catch up after, or do both. You can pause, rewind, or speed up to suit how you learn, and it's there to use for revision closer to exams.

If you miss the live session altogether and didn't book in advance, you can still purchase the recording after.

Throughout the classes, I'm always asking questions to get students thinking and checking for understanding. There's no pressure to participate and I won't ever call on anyone by name. Students are welcome to get involved in the chat, ask questions, or just sit back, listen, and take notes. Chat messages are private, so only I can see them.

I usually answer questions related to the topic as we go, and I tend to also stay behind at the end for anything else. That's often when we end up chatting about broader revision strategies too.

Content masterclasses (AQA focused)

Each session focuses on one specific topic. We cover everything on the AQA specification for that topic, with visual explanations, memory tricks, exam tips, and quizzes to check understanding along the way. Usually based around my model answer notes.

Exam question masterclasses (AQA focused)

These sessions are all about exam technique. We work through a set of exam questions or a full past paper, and I show students how to identify exactly what the examiner is looking for.

Skills masterclasses (various exam boards)

These focus on question types that students often find tricky, like application, evaluation, and maths questions. Where the skill requires specific content knowledge, we cover that first before working through exam questions together.

Classes are generally £15 per hour, though this can vary depending on the type of class.

Waitlist members get early-bird prices on new classes and occasional free classes. Bundle discounts are also available when booking multiple classes.

If you receive Free School Meals, the 16-19 Bursary, or something similar, you can get 50% off all masterclasses. Just email me a letter from your school or college confirming this for the current academic year.

To be totally honest, your best option is to find a tutor who specialises in your exam board.

Most of my classes are AQA focused, and there are quite a few differences between exam board specifications.

There is overlap though, so if you are keen to join for certain overlapping topics just make sure you compare the AQA specification with your own.
