Does this sound familiar?
A lot of the students I work with 'get' the content, but it’s their ability to actually apply what they know in the exam that keeps costing them marks. They're giving it their all, but their grades just aren't reflecting it.
Either that, or they’re just so overwhelmed by how much there is to learn (and how little time there is to learn it). They don’t know where to start. It's all too much.
It doesn't have to be this hard.
Hi, I'm Olivia!
Over the past 8 years, I’ve helped thousands of GCSE & A Level Biology students improve their grades by focusing on what actually makes the difference in exams.
My approach is built around showing you exactly what examiners are looking for, with clear, visual explanations and memory tricks that make everything easier to understand, remember, and apply.
A lot of the students I work with are capable of more than they realise. They just need the right tools, strategies and support.
The story of how I ended up here
I'd love to know if you can relate to any of this!
2013 - 2015: GCSEs
2015 - 2017: A Levels
2017 - 2020: Uni & tutoring
2020 - 2023: Teaching
2023 - now: Biology with Olivia
My aim
To give as many students as I can the tools, strategies, and support they need to feel confident in biology and achieve the grades they’re capable of. Because getting through your GCSEs and A Levels really shouldn’t be this hard.
There’s nothing I enjoy more than seeing a student go from feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to start, and unmotivated… to feeling capable, confident, and actually enjoying biology.
Most students come to me wanting to improve their grades. And they do. But for me, it’s also about that shift in how they feel. Feeling more in control, clear on what they're doing and not dreading revision in the same way.
I’m just as proud of the students who achieve A*s as I am of those who get the pass they were working towards.
How I've helped others
The kindness of the students I work with never fails to amaze me and I am so grateful that I’ve received hundreds of messages on the impact I've made. Below is just a selection of some of my favourites!

Do we have anything in common?
It probably won’t surprise you that a lot of what I enjoy still links back to biology.
I’ve always loved being outdoors and over the past few years I’ve become a bit obsessed with learning more about nature and wildlife. Ironic, given I chose my Biomedical Science degree partly to avoid that side of biology at the time!
I also love anything creative, whether that’s painting, drawing or making things… which is probably why I’m always finding an excuse to get the PlayDoh and pipe cleaners out in my videos.
